The problem

Over 20,000 residents and 300 volunteer associations lacked one shared digital space.

Across Val di Fiemme’s nine municipalities, residents struggled to discover local events because information was scattered across disconnected channels.

At the same time, organizers found it difficult to coordinate schedules, manage resources and collaborate with other associations. Semi-structured interviews revealed that this fragmentation was limiting participation while creating duplicated effort across the community.

The solution

InValle brings events, people and shared resources into one community platform.

For residents, the mobile experience combines a searchable event calendar, detailed listings, saved events and associations, and a dedicated space for discovering volunteering opportunities.

For organizers, it supports event and help-request publishing, identifies potential scheduling conflicts, and allows associations to lend, borrow and request equipment. The result is one service designed to strengthen participation, collaboration and resource sharing across the valley.

The outcome

In one intensive week, local needs became a high-fidelity service concept for the entire valley.

During UX Challenge 2025, our team translated insights from citizens and event organizers into a mobile prototype addressing both sides of the local ecosystem: residents looking for meaningful ways to participate and associations seeking better coordination.

The final concept connected event discovery, volunteering, association visibility, schedule coordination and equipment sharing in one experience. We presented the complete service and its interaction flows in the final challenge pitch.
